C-Dogs SDL is a frenetic shooter game in which up to four players can participate simultaneously, both in cooperative mode and in different PvP modes. The game is based on C-Dogs, a free-to-play title developed in the late 1990s for MS-DoS by Ronny Wester, which despite being relatively little known, had a dedicated fan base. In 2002, Ronny released the game code, which allowed a new group of developers to port the game to SDL, making it compatible with modern computers.
In C-Dogs SDL you will find more than a dozen different campaigns, many of them with special rules that will change the general gameplay. Most of these campaigns are inspired by a specific video game, as is the case of Doom, which is inspired by the game of the same name, and will allow you to relive this classic from a new perspective. One of the strong points of the game, moreover, is that you will be able to create and import your own campaigns, so you will have access to a virtually infinite assortment of hours of gameplay.
All C-Dogs SDL campaigns can be played either solo or in cooperative mode with up to four players. The only mode that you will not be able to play solo is deathmatch. This game mode is reserved for multiplayer games, in which you will have to try to destroy your friends using the entire arsenal of the game: machine guns, shotguns, grenades, Molotov cocktails, chainsaws, and much more.
C-Dogs SDL is a very fun action game, which manages to transfer the experience of the mythical run-and-gun of the late eighties and nineties, to modern computers. Thanks to its enormous versatility, you will be able to enjoy the game either alone, or with one, two or three friends on the same PC, or through a local network.
